Timothy Nyberg,

PhD, ABPP

In 2024, Dr. Nyberg became a Specialist of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), in Forensic Psychology.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. 

Dr. Nyberg studied Brain and Cognitive Science, and Clinical Psychology, at the University of Rochester, and obtained his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (focusing on neuropsychology) from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, in 2005.   He was an employee of North Texas State Hospital's maximum security campus in Vernon, Texas, for five years before venturing into private practice, and opened New Leaf Behavioral Health, in Wichita Falls, in 2011.  Dr. Nyberg is not a therapist, but rather has devoted his career to the psychological evaluation of children and adults (ages 8 - 99).  

Dr. Nyberg's forensic work centers on the needs of the criminal justice system, and he accepts both privately-retained as well as court-appointed evaluations.  Dr. Nyberg also conducts psychological evaluations for members of the community, to address a wide variety of matters.
